Field

Explanation

Default proceeding label

This dropdown list sets the default label for decisions when Creating a New Decision. Choose from the following labels:

·         Resolution
·         Recommendation
·         Motion
·         Election

The label will be set for all Decisions in the meeting type, and can be changed per Decision. i.e. The Decision is a Recommendation first from Staff, which becomes the Motion, and then the Resolution. Note: Motion vote types allow you to create a secondary proceeding, where the other types do not.

Resolution Process

This dropdown list determines whether both a mover and seconder are required for resolutions.

·         Mover and Seconder: Both mover and seconder required for resolutions

·         Mover Only: Only the mover is required for resolutions

·         None: No mover or seconder are required for resolutions

If Mover only or None is selected, you will be able to optionally enter replacement text to use instead of a mover or seconder. IE, “It was duly moved and seconded”

In Table Format

If this option is selected, the mover and seconder will be aligned in a table in the Minutes document (mover and seconder’s names will be vertically aligned)

Resolution Result Labels – Main resolutions and Secondary resolutions

Text to display when a resolution/secondary resolution passes, ties, or is defeated.

To provide other resolution result options, the "Other" field can be used, using a semi-colon to separate options: "Carried Unanimously; Referred".

The "Other" result options can be selected from the result drop down for any resolution outcome. Multiple options can be added in the result field, separated by a semi-colon (;)

ex: Carried Unanimously; Defeated Unanimously; Referred to Next Meeting

You can also select which option, if any, should be applied to resolutions by default.

Consent Items

Select whether the following fields should be applied to sub-categories for Consent Items.

·         Mover

·         Seconder

·         Result

·         Resolution Number
