Ad-Hoc Approvers allow users to add approval steps to a Workflow. Before starting a workflow, users can add approval steps and reorder the steps that the workflow will take. Once a workflow has started, users can add approval steps to a running workflow and reorder any steps that have not been completed.

To allow users to add Ad-Hoc Approvers to a workflow, Administrators can visit the Report Manager menu bar, and select Workflows.

Create a new Workflow or Edit an existing workflow from the Workflows screen.

While configuring a Workflow, select Allow ad-hoc approvers. Enabling this setting will give Contributors the Add Approval Step button that Administrators can access. Administrators can also select Allow ad-hoc approvers to edit to determine if by default, an ad-hoc approver is allowed to edit a Report when they are added to a workflow by a contributor.
