Just before the meeting, when you are ready to start recording and streaming, simply click the Start Recording button at the top of the agenda navigation in Conduct Meeting mode.
If a Video Encoder has not been selected, but Video is enabled for your meeting type, the following message will appear:
From the Pop Up, select an Encoder to see the Video Manager Control Panel appear.
Upon clicking Start Recording, eSCRIBE will start streaming and recording of video. The status will change to “Streaming, Recording”.
To start streaming and recording separately, move your mouse over the recording status, and select the drop down arrow to expose the advanced video controls.
These advanced controls allow you to start and stop streaming and recording independently.
A common scenario is to start streaming a few minutes before the meeting, but show a splash screen, such as “Meeting will begin soon”. This is helpful for any viewers who tune in early but does not need to be recorded as part of the meeting.
When the meeting starts, simply click the Start button beside Recording, to start the recording.
For more details on splash screens/video sources, see the Related Articles section.
Note: If the encoder is currently being used in another meeting, its status will display “Locked”, and you will be unable to control it from your meeting. Encoders can be unlocked via the Video Manager screen on the eSCRIBE Portal. For more information on unlocking encoders, see section: “Unlocking the Encoder”
