Video sources can be selected and displayed instead of the default encoder output (AKA the cameras). For example, you may wish to display an image while the encoder is not streaming, or while the encoder is streaming, you may wish to display an image indicating that “Council is in closed session”, or “Council is on break”.
A video source is simply an image file, with some properties that can be configured through this screen.
To add an additional video source, click the Add new video source link below the list of video sources.
Select an image, complete the required fields, and click Save.
| Field | Explanation |
| Title | Provide a title for this video source. This value will appear in dropdown menus when selecting a video source. |
| Audio Source | Select whether the audio should be muted. If “mute” is selected, this can not be “unmuted” when the video source is being displayed for a stream. |
| Image | Select an image file to be displayed. |
Note: To avoid image distortion such as stretching, the image should be 1280px X 720px, and for performance reasons, smaller images are better than larger images. Try to keep the image to less than 1mb.
