Please Note: First, enable the Developer Tab in Microsoft Word. See the Help Article Adding the Developer tab to MS Word for instructions.
The following steps are applicable to tagging the Recommendation and/or Description text of your report template. This will result in the recommendation and/or description getting extracted and eventually becoming part of the agenda/minutes.
1. Open your report template from eSCRIBE :
2. Select the template you want to work with, and click the blue report link to open the template for editing.
3. Once your report opens in Word, place your cursor where the recommendation and/or description text will be. If there is default text present (i.e. THAT the, or THAT the County of xxxx Policy and Priorities Committee…) be sure to highlight this text as well.
4. Click on the Developer tab on the ribbon, click the Rich Text Content Control button.
Click the Properties button on the Developer tab on the ribbon
In the Tag field type:
- For Recommendations, type eRecommendation
- For Descriptions, type eDescription
5. To avoid this property from being accidentally deleted by a user when they are completing the report, we recommend "locking" it before clicking "OK"
