Note: This option to upload reports will only appear if the Report Settings have been configured to allow uploading of external reports. See the Report Settings Admin Guide for additional details.
In addition to using the Create option, Contributors can also upload documents into the Draft Reports library, and submit them for the same approval processes.
To upload a report, simply click Upload from the Draft Reports Library.
Note: In order to have eSCRIBE automatically extract information directly from the document, you must use a template that was created in eSCRIBE with the appropriate Quick Parts (For more information visit "Configuring Report Templates and Content Types" document)
Browse to the file you would like to upload and click Upload.
Note: For organizations who allow the uploading of report documents, be aware that users will only be able to upload a newer version of documents of the same file type of the document that was previously uploaded (ex: if an MS Word document was created in eSCRIBE Reports library and a user tries to upload a new version of that report, it will only allow them to upload another MS Word document to replace it).
After uploading the file, the contributor must complete the basic information about the report, as outlined in the Create New Report section.
Once the document has been uploaded, it can be accessed via Draft Reports for further editing or initiate an electronic approval, just as with any other document.
