Adding Tasks - Field Explanation

This article explains the fields found when creating a new task. To add a new task, see the article on Adding Tasks

Field

Explanation

Task

The contents of the task.

ex: “Submit a follow-up report to Council regarding… “

Assigned To

The person or people responsible for completing the task.

Note: Multiple names are separated by a semi-colon.

Due-Date

The due-date for this task.   Due dates can be used for alerts, dashboards, and sorting purposes.

Priority

Priority value for the task.

Category

Tasks can be categorized for future reporting. 

Awaiting Completion

Select this if task details are incomplete, and will be completed at a later time. Tasks with incomplete details will appear in the Alerts list above the agenda navigation.

Delegable

If selected, the assigned individual will be able to add additional assignees. The additional assignees will be alerted upon saving.

Notification

Choose the Send Task Notification option if you wish to send the Assigned User the task details immediately via email. Alternatively, see the article on Sending Agenda & Task Notifications to send the email at a later date/time.
