If your previews are not available in the eScribe interface for those video streams. Please confirm that the video stream is appearing where you expect it to for viewers. Preview images are generated only by physical encoders, showing the input to their capture cards.
Physical encoders may have difficulty displaying preview images for a number of reasons. Frequently the problem with preview images not displaying through our partner eScribe's meeting management interface has to do with network appliances (firewalls and filters) hijacking HTTPS/SSL sessions between the iSiLIVE control system and the remote encoder. Our management server retrieves the previews from the encoder over an SSL-encrypted connection, and if that session is tampered with, it aborts the preview request. The API sends the image data to eScribe to display. There can be, however, other reasons for this issue. If eScribe displaying a black preview, there are really only four reasons:
1: The input to the encoder is all black.
2: The SSL transport session between the encoder and node is getting hijacked by on-premises network filtering.
3: The preview delivered through the API is not being displayed properly (rare).
4: You have both physical and virtual encoders on your account, and the virtual encoder is not showing the preview because only physical encoders can provide them.
The preview stills are generated by the encoder by grabbing a capture of what's currently on the input, and not what's being output. Previews on input can be independently verified by logging into
Node and using the switch controls for the encoder to show a preview.

iSiLive requires a few network configuration items. The encoder will need to send and receive data on the ports below:
NOTE: These ports are all outbound, NO inbound ports are required to be opened. If you're using SonicWall (or other similar application-specific device that does packet and state inspection), please ensure RTMP/RTMPS and SSH protocols are not blocked for the feedbox. This will prevent the control and broadcast systems from working properly regardless of port availability.
