Portal Admin- Purge, Archive and Restore Meetings
When an eSCRIBE meeting site is deleted from the eSCRIBE Portal, it is sent to a type of “recycle bin”, so that the deletion can be undone if required. A deleted meeting site can either be restored, or purged from the system by an Administrator
Under the “Others” menu option, select “Portal Admin” to access the purge and restore functionality. Select a “Meeting Type” from the drop-down menu. A list of all deleted meeting sites for that meeting type will appear. Mark the check box(es) for the meeting sites you wish to purge (remove permanently) or restore, and click the appropriate button (“Purge” or “Restore”).
When a meeting site is purged, it is permanently removed from the eSCRIBE system and CAN NOT be recovered. This includes tasks connected to the meeting site. When a meeting site is restored, it simply becomes available again on the eSCRIBE Portal.
Purge Attachments
In order to minimize space, attachments can be purged (permanently deleted) from an eSCRIBE meeting site.”.
Select a “Meeting Type” from the dropdown menu, then select the required Meeting Site for which you wish to remove all the attachments and click “Purge”. All attachments will be removed from the selected Meeting Site, and all other information will remain intact.
Note: Purged attachments cannot be recovered.
Archive Meeting Sites
As an alternative to purging meeting sites, older meeting sites can be archived. Archived meeting sites are not deleted from the system, but cannot be searched and will not appear on the eSCRIBE Meetings list.
Under the Others menu option, select Portal Admin to access the archiving/restore functionality. To archive meeting sites, click the Archive radio button and select a Meeting Type from the drop-down menu. A list of all meeting sites for that meeting type will appear. Mark the checkboxes for the meeting sites you wish to archive and click Process Archive.
Restore Archived Meeting Sites
To restore archived meeting sites, click the “Restore” radio button and select a “Meeting Type” from the drop-down menu. A list of all the archived meeting sites for that meeting type will appear. Check the meeting sites you wish to restore and click “Process Restore”.
