This article explains the fields and settings found when updating a Meeting Profile in Meeting Mgmt. and editing Request to Speak Settings.
Field Explanation Enable Request to Speak? Allows Requests to Speak to be submitted inside the meeting site. Availability to: Enables Request to Speak for Voting Participants (voters in the attendee group) or Non-Voting Participants (participants who are not voters in the attendee group). Request to speak per list item Settings controls dictates the drop down list type, in the request to speak area on an item.
- "Multiple" (current behavior and the default choice)
- This means that multiple request to speak lists can be on an item
- When a vote it added, a separate request to speak list is added in the dropdown
- The Public Speakers feature is its own list
- "Single"
- This means that there is only one request to speak list per item and no drop down is needed
- The Public Speakers feature will not have its own list
Participants can submit a request to speak Allows administrators when participant can speak during a meeting:
"All the time"
- All request to speak queues on all items are open to accept request to speak submissions from participants
"Only when active" (current behavior and the default choice)
- A participant is only able to submit a request to speak when the request to speak queue on an item has been activated
Requested Information Select what information should be visible and/or required for a participant to submit a request to speak. Possible fields are Position (for, against, amend), and comments (freeform text) Timer and Speaker's List Determines what information will be displayed on the Public Display when the Speaker's List opens.
- No Display - Do not show the speaker's list on the public display
- Timer & Active Speaker Only - Show the timer and the current speaker
- Timer & Speaker's List - Show the timer and the entire speaker's list
Default Timer How much time should be given to each speaker by default in seconds. Preset Timer 1/2/3 How much time should be available as preset timer options in seconds.
