Your eSCRIBE site only has a single setting that controls the upload limit for the whole site/meeting. The upload limit that we set allows you to upload up to that total.

For example, if your current limit is 200 MB, then you can upload a total of 200 MB of attachments. This can be a single 200 MB file or 10 separate files of 20 MB each.

Once you prepare the agenda, the Agenda PDF package will approximately be the total of your uploaded attachments. For example, if all of the attachments uploaded to an agenda package have a total file size 50MB, then the agenda PDF package that is produced will have a file size of approximately 50MB.

If the full agenda package is more than the set limit (200MB as per the earlier example) then the system will not be able to upload the agenda PDF package to the meeting and you won't be able to view it.

As a general best practice, while the file size can be adjusted to a larger limit, we do strongly recommend that you optimize your attachments size. Larger attachments can make agenda preparation and agenda PDF/HTML publishing take some time. It can also cause issues for members of the public that do not have fast internet connection, where larger file sizes essentially make the agenda materials inaccessible. 

If larger file sizes are required, another best practice would be to publish the HTML agenda package instead of the PDF package. As viewing the HTML agenda only downloads attachments as they are clicked and do not require the public to download the full agenda PDF.

• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft PowerPoint
• PDF documents
• Images

PLEASE NOTE: due to the variety of customizable print settings in Excel, it is strongly recommended that users convert those to PDF prior to uploading.
