This role was created to allow users such as non-administrators the ability to manage only Tasks in eSCRIBE.
Regular administrator users (Portal, Administrator, Meeting Administrators) do not need this role as task management is already available to these roles.
User with this role can manage tasks (create, edit, assign, delete) for meetings under the following conditions:
Step 1: Assigning Task Manager Permission to a new user/existing user.
From the Menu Bar, select Attendee Management and Forms Users or ADFS Users (as per your configuration). Edit an individual user profile to assign the Task Manager Role.
Step 2: Assigning users to the Role
The user also needs to be associated to a specific meeting type in order to view all the outstanding tasks. Within each meeting type, they must be marked as “Task Managers”.
From the Menu Bar, select Meeting Management, Select the Meeting Type to edit, and choose Update.
Drill down into the first section titled Administration and locate the field titled Task Managers. Using the people picker field, search and enter the name of the user flagged as Task Manager.
Remember to Sync any meetings that have already been created, to apply the changes to the meeting type.
Step 3: Adding an Attendee to the Meeting
Users need to be added to the meeting in either the Attendee Groups as a recurring user or added to a meeting site individually. If they are not listed in the meeting, the corresponding tasks will not display.
Option #1: The user can be added to the Attendee Group as a Participant.
Option #2: The user can be added into a meeting using the New button and by selecting Attendee. Complete the Attendee Form.
Step 4: View as a Task Manager
Participants who are also Task Managers, will be able to choose the Task option from the New button, and create tasks for users in eSCRIBE just like Administrators. Task Managers can also access the Action Log, and manage all tasks in eSCRIBE.
Images posted below are sample screen shots of the Task Manager Role when logged into eSCRIBE. Users will have the ability to filter tasks, complete tasks, re-assign tasks and create new tasks as needed.
