Troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

  • Open Internet Options:

  • In the General tab, click on Delete.. button:

  • Put a check on all boxes EXCEPT for "Preserve Favorites website data" (ensure this is unchecked), click the delete button:
  • Via Chrome, open eSCRIBE and try opening the document again, a password prompt should appear when you opening the document now.

  • Note: If the above steps did not help resolve the issue, continue further troubleshooting with the below mentioned steps:
  • It appears that as we use SharePoint to allow access for Words docs in eScribe as well as to allow for collaboration within Documents. When we launch reports/word docs that it requires Internet Explorer.
  • Opened Internet Explorer and navigated to eScribe login url example- https://city.escribemeetings.com  and try to login using your eScribe credentials, It is most likely, that you would get an Access denied error.
  • Click on "sign in as different user" and should most likely log you in within eScribe using IE11.
  • Post which go back to Chrome and login, try to  open the documents via eScribe now.
